Shopping Smart During the Holidays
Black Friday and Cyber Monday has already passed but there are still a lot of Holiday Deals going around. It’s not only a great time to be shopping for gifts but also stocking up on the things you want for yourself. So many people focus simply on making money online but an equal emphasis really needs to be placed on saving money. We all work so hard to earn so why not spend a little bit of time to keep that money in your bank.
I love shopping online and here are some of the ways that I go about saving my hard earned money.
(1) Deal sites – I frequently visit deal sites to find out the latest deals. My all time favorite Ben’s Bargains – listings of great deals and coupons updated throughout each day.
(2) Shopping rewards – everyone knows that you can earn credit card points but there are many other ways to get rewarded for your purchases especially online. Here are a few to check out:
Card Power: Get points every time you spend using your linked cards; earn 500 points on sign up and 1,000 points per friend referred that links their cards
UPromise: link your debit, credit, and even shopping rewards cards and earn simply by spending
CashCrate, Inboxdollars, and Swagbucks: When you are looking to purchase online, simply sign on and find the retailer on these sites. Making your purchase through their link will earn you rewards to your account.
(3) Amazon – I have to say that most of my purchases online are made through Amazon simply because they have great prices and fast shipping. Something that everyone needs to consider is tax – all my purchases have been tax-free and these savings really rack up.
Saving money on your purchases takes just a little bit of effort in research. Be smart in how you shop. Research prices, reviews, and price match when you can. Also, take the time to return the items that do not meet your expectations.
